In order to properly commission the tunnel a series of performance and calibration tests are being completed on the polysonic wind tunnel. These tests include:
- Run time across all Mach numbers
- Empty tunnel side wall pressure distribution
- Centerline Mach number uniformity
- Supersonic total/static pressure uniformity
- Flow angularity
- Turbulence intensity
- Flow unsteadiness
Evaluation of Unsteady Loading on Store Trajectories

Develop and demonstrate an accurate analysis tool for determining aircraft/store combinations of high risk for store trajectory deviations.
The polysonic wind tunnel will be used to measure unsteady pressures in the aircraft weapon bay with and without the store.
